{"id":16,"date":"2017-11-10T15:27:38","date_gmt":"2017-11-10T15:27:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ccnmtc.edu.gh\/?page_id=16"},"modified":"2025-08-02T12:03:59","modified_gmt":"2025-08-02T12:03:59","slug":"admissions-requirements","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/ccnmtc.edu.gh\/index.php\/admissions-requirements\/","title":{"rendered":"Admissions Requirements"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>PROGRAMME<\/p>\n<p>Admission to the RGN programme is without prejudice to creed, race or gender, provided the aspiring candidate, male or female, has:<\/p>\n<p>a) SSCE\/WASSCE with passes in the following:<\/p>\n<p>3 Core Subjects (Grade D or better\/Al \u2014 C6)<\/p>\n<p>English Language<\/p>\n<p>Mathematics<\/p>\n<p>Integrated Science<\/p>\n<p>3 Elective Subjects (Grade D or better\/Al \u2014 C6)<\/p>\n<p>General Science<\/p>\n<p>General Arts<\/p>\n<p>Home Economics (Food and Nutrition)<\/p>\n<p>General Agriculture with Chemistry or Physics An aggregate score of twenty-four (24) or better. In addition to the above listed, the candidate must:<\/p>\n<p>a) Be at least 1 8 years but not more than 35 years old.<\/p>\n<p>b) Have no criminal record<\/p>\n<p>c) Be of good health<\/p>\n<p>d) Pass a selection interview<\/p>\n<h4>RM PROGRAMME<\/h4>\n<p>The RM programme is a Diploma programme open to only female students. The department admits applicants from all cultures, social or ethnic groups, irrespective of religious background, provided the aspiring candidate has:<\/p>\n<p>a. SSCE\/WASSCE with passes in the following:<\/p>\n<p>3 Core Subjects (Grade D or better\/Al \u2014 C6)<\/p>\n<p>English Language and Mathematics<\/p>\n<p>Elective Subjects and minimum grade:<\/p>\n<p>At least pass 3 subjects in any of the following:<\/p>\n<p>General Science<\/p>\n<p>General Arts<\/p>\n<p>Home Economics (Food and Nutrition)<\/p>\n<p>General Agriculture with Chemistry or Physics<\/p>\n<p>Most students (Ghanaians) are on Government Scholarships and receive a monthly allowance while in training. Such students enter into a bond to serve the Ghana Government for a minimum of five (5) years after training. Other students are sponsored by different bodies.<\/p>\n<p>However, all students pay some fees towards books and stationery, feeding and maintenance of infrastructure. The college also ad\u00admits, for training, foreign students who qualify; such students pay full fees.<\/p>\n<p>ACADEMIC SESSION<\/p>\n<p>The Academic Session comprises two semesters in a year.<\/p>\n<p>First semester \u2014 October to February, Second semester \u2014 April to August<\/p>\n<p>STRUCTURE OF SEMESTER<\/p>\n<p>A semester shall be of 18 weeks duration and shall be structured as follows:<\/p>\n<p>1 2 weeks of Teaching 3 weeks of Clinical Practice<\/p>\n<p>1 week revision<\/p>\n<p>2 weeks of Examination<\/p>\n<p>Students are required to have clinical experience during the vaca\u00adtion from the first to the fifth semesters.
